Spring plowing wheat field

Recently, in a wheat field in Beizhang Village, Beizhang Town, Quan Liudan and his wife were spraying pesticides, weeding, cultivating and other operations on the green wheat seedlings to lay the foundation for this year's wheat harvest. "All I plant are new varieties of wheat, which are easy to manage and don't require high technical requirements. I'm older, so growing this variety is relatively easy."

Quan Liudan planted a total of 15 acres of winter wheat. "These acres of land can be irrigated with water, and the yield per mu is more than 700 kilograms. In addition to keeping it for myself, I can also make some money. Although it is not much, it is enough to spend. The most important thing is that I have food at home and a heart. Don't panic." Quan Liudan said that he had been dealing with "Tuqiaoda" all his life, and he felt a little uneasy after not working in the fields for a day.

This year, Beizhang Village has more than 4,500 acres of winter wheat sown area. At present, under the guidance of the staff of the town's agricultural science station, the villagers are seizing the favorable opportunity of spring management. According to the characteristics of the region, growth situation and soil moisture, the winter wheat is suppressed and hoeed, the moisture is maintained and the temperature is increased, top dressing is watered, and pesticides and weeding are carried out. and other scientific management to promote weak control and ensure high yields. At the same time, we should pay close attention to weather changes and make every effort to prevent frost damage and prevent and control wheat diseases, pests and weeds in spring to ensure a bumper harvest of summer grain.

Spring sowing Chinese medicinal materials

Beiduwu Village in Beizhang Town is located at the foot of Mashou Mountain and is rich in Chinese medicinal materials. In recent years, the village has adopted the business model of "company + base + cooperative + farmers" to continue to promote the planting, production, processing and sales of Chinese medicinal materials, and has become a larger Chinese medicinal material sales distribution center in southern Shanxi.

Over the past few days, more than 20 villagers have been sowing medicinal seedlings and laying mulch at a Chinese medicinal material planting base in Wei Xiangju, a medicinal material grower. "Currently, we grow Rehmannia glutinosa, Atractylodes, Bupleurum, Scutellaria baicalensis and other varieties, covering an area of more than 40 acres. In one year, we can earn more than 500,000 yuan."

Wei Xiangju is a native of Beiduwu and has been a teacher in the village for decades. After she retired five years ago, she contracted and transferred the land to grow Chinese medicinal materials. Taking advantage of the village's unique resource advantages, Wei Xiangju quickly became an expert in growing traditional Chinese medicinal materials.

At present, there are 50 Chinese herbal medicine processing cooperatives in Beiduwu Village, with more than 800 employees. They mainly produce and process authentic medicinal materials such as Bupleurum, Scutellaria baicalensis, Atractylodes, and Polygala. The annual transaction volume reaches more than 800 million yuan.

Spring greenhouse vegetables

In the vegetable production base of Beizhang Village, various fruits and vegetables such as cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and tomatoes are growing well. Vegetable farmers are carrying out spring irrigation, weeding, picking and other work in an orderly manner, and spring plowing and management are carried out in an orderly manner.

Vegetable farmer Cao Gangjun said: "Now that the temperature is getting warmer, seasonal vegetables such as cucumbers and tomatoes are growing very fast. I come to the greenhouse early every morning to water and fertilize the vegetables on time to increase the yield and quality of the vegetables."

At present, all six vegetable greenhouses planted by Cao Gangjun have implemented "small to large" renovation projects. The renovated greenhouse has large space, good lighting, and is convenient for mechanical farming. At the same time, the new greenhouse adopts a new technology for integrated water and fertilizer planting. Key elements such as water, fertilizer, lighting, and ventilation are automatically controlled, which reduces the labor intensity of vegetable farmers and greatly increases vegetable production.

It is understood that Beizhang Village currently has more than 350 solar greenhouses, and more than 100 households in the village are engaged in planting cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, milk melons, cucumbers and other fruits and vegetables, with an annual output value of more than 45 million yuan. The vegetable industry not only enriches the people's "vegetable basket", but also increases the "money bag" of vegetable farmers.

This spring, in order to continue to promote the high-quality development of the vegetable industry, the village's "Two Committees" actively sought 950,000 yuan in project funds from superiors and built five new roads of more than 1,800 meters in the vegetable production base, which greatly improved the vegetable production of vegetable farmers. , transportation and sales conditions.
