Recently, at Guangzhou South Railway Station, 10 special guests arrived at the platform.
On the eve of the Spring Festival Transport in 2021, Guangzhou Railway Group’s Guangzhou Fangjian Apartment Section started the anti-corrosion and anti-rust project of the steel structure of the canopy. For the first time, the "spider car" was adopted (because the four legs stretched out to look like a large spider, the operation and maintenance car was called "spider "Car") ascending operations, with a total paint volume of 23,000 square meters and a maximum operating height of 21 meters.
The operation time is very tight, and every minute must be raced against. The operators need to go through a month of training to keep their heart and hands free.
In order to transport each spider car weighing more than 4 tons to the platform, the railway department spent a lot of effort.
They invited experienced masters, carefully calculated and used a 100-ton crane to lift the spider truck from outside the station to the 12-meter-high platform level.
When there is no work, the spider car is placed in a fixed position on the platform for management and manned 24 hours a day.
Since the start of construction in October 2020, there have been four or five nights a week, with more than 60 operators and many units participating in the construction.
