The duo Alain Souchon and Laurent Voulzy are great hits like J'ai 10 ans, Rockollection or Bidon.

"I did not know what I was going to do with my life to earn my crust. I did not believe at all that I could be a singer", recalls Alain Souchon about his adolescence.
The famous French singer confides that he was first a bartender in a pub in London for a year, before becoming a house painter "with friends", he says.
"It was quite nice, we were very free, we worked moonlighting. Then, for a year, I was apprenticed to a house painter in Megève," he continues.

"Everything we did, it worked"
Then, it is the meeting with the one who will become his wife, Françoise Souchon.
She is at university, studying and he, next door, is not feeling well enough.
"I had paint under my fingernails and I was like if I wanted to stay with that girl, I couldn't stay like that, like a ragged man. I thought I was going to make songs and try to make them. place, "he says.
He then wrote the song

met the artistic director of RCA Records, Bob Socquet, who encouraged him to enter the competition for La Rose d'or d'Antibes in 1973. "It was a tricked-out contest, showbiz. I did that, I got a small prize and he told me I had to make an album, "he describes.
Bob Socquet then introduced him to Laurent Voulzy.
"He must arrange your songs", insists the artistic director, remembers Alain Souchon today.
