The International Photography Festival "Xposure", organized by the Sharjah Government Media Office, has revealed the names of the 10 nominees for festival awards, after the 2020-2021 session received the largest number of entries since its launch in 2016, attracting 25,384 participants.

The "Travel Photography" category witnessed the largest number of posts, with 6012 photos, followed by the "Portrait" category with 4,451 photos, while the Photojournalism category came in third with 2,469 posts.

For his part, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Office, Tariq Saeed Allai, said, “The International Festival of Photography (Xposure) celebrates the experiences of the pioneers of photography, through its awards, which have witnessed great development, and have become a global platform that brings together professional and amateur photographers, and enables them to present their work to a wider audience. From the audience », indicating that the award has become the main tool for discovering emerging talents in the art of contemporary photography, with its various main categories.

He added: “Participations in the (Exposure) Awards witnessed a remarkable growth, and this session was unique par excellence, not only in terms of registering the largest number of entries, but also in terms of the number of countries that reached 125 countries, indicating the participation of 15 new countries, and these achievements are evident. The festival’s position in the community of professional photographers around the world, and the confidence of amateur photographers in it, describing the festival as a platform from which to pursue professional excellence and enhance artistic talent.

Candidates for "Flight Filming" included: F Delek Uyar (Turkey), Chen Leung Tyo (Singapore), Wei Fu (Thailand), Shenghua Yang, Mingkian Wang (China), Azim Khan Rooney (Bangladesh), and Aditya Vardhan (India).

In the category “Portrait” Pranab Basak (India), Kevin Shi (USA), Lee Huang Long (Vietnam), Qasim Ijaz (Pakistan), Hussain Vardinvard (Netherlands), Zay Yar (Myanmar), and Cefelten Yusifov (Bulgaria) were nominated for And Pingiao Song (China).
