[Commentary] On November 2nd, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Hong Kong’s Pui Kiu Middle School held a series of commemorative activities and the opening ceremony of a sharing lecture for descendants of Whampoa Military Academy. Tsang Yucheng, former chairman of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Supervisor of Pui Kiu Middle School, attended the event Said that the next generation of Hong Kong should keep in mind the national history and the patriotism of the Whampoa Military Academy in fear of sacrifice.

  [Explanation] 2020 is the 96th anniversary of the establishment of the Whampoa Military Academy. This series of commemorative activities will be presented in traveling exhibitions in different schools in Hong Kong, including pictures about the war of resistance, paintings and calligraphy exhibitions.

  [Explanation] On the same day, Hong Kong Peiqiao Middle School held a flag-raising ceremony to play the national anthem. Afterwards, former representatives of the National People’s Congress of Hong Kong District Fei Fei, General Cai Tingkai’s grandson Cai Xingmin, and Chinese Expeditionary Army Deputy Commander Huang Qixiang's son Huang Xiangming and other descendants of Whampoa Military Academy Attend the lecture as a guest to share the correct and self-disciplined living habits and attitudes of the ancestors of the Whampoa Military Academy, and inherit the spiritual wealth left by the ancestors.

  Fei Fei said in her speech that although the work of youth education is arduous, we must pay more attention to it. Although she is 78 years old this year, she will try her best to participate in all activities related to young people.

  Talking to (students) about the Whampoa Spirit may be more (profound) to this generation of young people, but at least give them a concept, one is to be patriotic and to remember their roots.

The other is that I think there must be a view of right and wrong. I hope that one is to let them have a patriotic concept since they were young. The other is to remember that they must be based in Hong Kong and contribute to Hong Kong in the future.

  [Explanation] Jasper Tsang said that cultivating the next generation of national identity is also inseparable from maintaining national security and implementing "one country, two systems."

He said that China is already very strong today, but it needs to protect the country's territorial integrity and security. Young people must never forget the blood shed during the war.
