Mayors' sling against confinement restrictions is spreading.

And in Lavaur, in the Tarn, the mayor Bernard Carayon (LR) opens a new breach.

Like many of his counterparts, he signed a decree on Monday authorizing the reopening of shops.

But he also initialed two other decisions, one concerning sports halls welcoming the public, the other places of worship, where the city council stipulates that people must maintain a distance of 1.50 m between them.

"Freedom of access to sports and religious activities"

For each of the orders, Bernard Carayon specifies that his decision is conditional on compliance with reinforced health rules and barrier gestures.

"These decrees, backed by the fundamental texts of our Republic, are intended to re-establish conditions of fairness in commercial life, and freedom of access to sporting and religious activities in Lavaur", explains Bernard Carayon in a press release.
