On November 2, the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Zhengzhou Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology held an on-site symposium at the Peiligang site in Xinzheng, Henan, and announced the latest progress of the research on the archaeological excavation of the Peiligang site: the site area can reach 50,000 To 60,000 square meters, the more scientific and accurate new dating results show that the Peiligang site is 8200-7700 years old and lasts about 500 years. It is a central settlement in the area that has been used for a long time.

At the same time, the late Paleolithic remains about 30,000 years ago were newly discovered to the west of the Peiligang site, with a thickness of 225 cm and a distribution area of ​​more than 5,000 square meters.
