This year, 100,000 people are participating in the operation.

The 5th edition of the "Tobacco-Free Month" operation began on Sunday and is scheduled to last until the end of November.

The challenge: not to smoke a single cigarette for a month.

To help you, the iconic "Tobacco Free Month" "kit" is available free of charge in pharmacies.

It is also possible to receive it at home by registering on the operation site.

100,000 registered smokers

As of Monday, 100,000 smokers were registered on the site.

Among them, Sarah, 29, who has smoked since she was a teenager.

Two years ago, she had managed to quit smoking thanks to the "Tobacco Free Month", but she broke down during the first confinement, smoking five to six cigarettes a day.

This time, she intends to quit for good.

"My last cigarette was last week. I told myself that I had to find positive things to do during the re-containment. I finished my pack because when I have cigarettes on me, I know that I will smoke them. I have not taken a lighter and I am only with people who do not smoke. Patches can be prescribed and reimbursed

To quit smoking, nicotine substitutes can also be used, such as patches or chewing gum.
