"Emirati Publishers" display 103 titles in "Sharjah Book"

The Emirates Publishers Association is participating in the 39th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair, organized by the Sharjah Book Authority under the slogan "The World Reads from Sharjah". Through the "Platform" project launched last year, nine publishers will display 103 titles from various creative, scientific and research fields. .

The association’s participation comes, with the aim of providing an opportunity for its members to participate in presenting their publications in various local, Arab and international cultural forums and events, and its endeavor to support the Emirati publisher and alleviate the burdens imposed by the Corona pandemic during the current period.

The "platform" pavilion, for publishers with less than 20 issues, includes Dar Hamalil, "Dreamwork", Dar Souad Salibi, Dar Al Andalus, Dar Makarem, Dar Manarat Al Alam, Dar Al Reyada, Dar Al Seif and Dar Al Thuraya.

Rashid Al-Kous, Executive Director of the Emirates Publishers Association, stressed the association’s keenness to participate annually in the exhibition, to introduce the association’s efforts and to enhance constructive communication with the local publishing sector, pointing out that the association offers a series of efforts to enhance the presence of Emirati publishers in various international cultural exhibitions and events, to advance their experiences. And open channels of communication and opportunities for cooperation with major Arab and foreign publishers.

Al-Kous added, "Through the platform project, we aim to facilitate the participation of publishers who own less than 20 publications, and to help them present their work to the largest possible number of those interested, which opens the way for them to enter new markets and expand their business outside the local market."
