The star host of "Vivement Dimanche" Michel Drucker will not return to France 2 before February 2021, announces his co-producer, a month after being hospitalized for a heart operation.

The host of "Vivement Dimanche", operated on the heart last month, should not be back before February 2021, according to his historic co-producer François Coquet, interviewed by

"The channel asked us to put shows up until January. But in my opinion, it will not come back until February," she said.

The operation of the host, aged 78, had resulted in a postponement of his return to France 2. At the time, it was the CEO of France Televisions, Delphine Ernotte, who had reassured the public about health from the star host.

Best-of rather than a new presenter

Delphine Ernotte had also indicated that Michel Drucker could take all the time necessary to recover, and that her hut would be waiting for her on his return.

Indeed, since the beginning of the school year, the best-of of the show have been broadcast at the usual times.

Michel Drucker had also asked the management of France 2 to entrust the controls of the program to the red sofa during his convalescence to the navigator Maud Fontenoy, but the channel categorically refused according to its co-producer.
