[Commentary] I can’t hear it, but I can dance to the music and tell the story with dance on the stage.

On September 28, the hearing impaired dancer Yuan Ying was rehearsing with other dancers in the Sichuan Art Troupe for the Disabled.

As the lead dancer, as the music slowly sounded, Yuan Ying danced her body skillfully in her silent world, "telling" her story through dance.

It is understood that the 24-year-old Yuan Ying completely lost her hearing when she was young because of fever and injections, but she did not lose her enthusiasm for life.

Although she has lived in a silent world since she can remember, Yuan Ying has fallen in love with dancing, and she has been dancing for more than ten years.

I have been interested in dancing since I was a child. When I was a child, my mother's friend gave her a lot of CDs with dancing people printed on them. Because I like them so much, I collected all the CDs.

Another time, I saw "Avalokitesvara of Thousand Hands" broadcast at the Spring Festival Gala. I think other people are deaf and dumb like me. Why can't I learn dance, so I am more interested in dance, and love it more .

[Explanation] At the age of 6, Yuan Ying entered a special education school and began to learn dance systematically for the first time.

It was also at that time that she knew that music has a beat. In order to better complete a dance, every movement needs to follow the beat.

For Yuan Ying, because she likes to dance, it is not so difficult for her not to hear.

When I was young, I was relatively free and jumped casually.

When I grew up, I discovered that music has a rhythm, and dancing is to the rhythm of the music.

So I found the rhythm by feeling the vibration of the floor and the sound, and then I slowly found the feeling.

Only through many hard work and constant practice, slowly it will be better to keep pace.

[Explanation] Simple to say, but not so easy to do.

For rhythmic music, Yuan Ying can find the beat through the vibration of the floor, but for some soothing music, Yuan Ying can only spend more time than ordinary people practicing with the help of the conductor.

In March 2012, Yuan Ying joined the newly established Sichuan Art Troupe for the Disabled under the recommendation of a teacher from Bazhong Special School.

Since then, dance has become the focus of Yuan Ying's life.

Today, Yuan Ying is not only a "veteran" of the art troupe, but also a backbone of the art troupe.

The art troupe also created a dance "Dance Dream" that tells the story of the deaf and dumb people chasing dreams based on Yuan Ying.

Yuan Ying also took "Dance Dream" to the opening and closing ceremonies of the 9th National Paralympic Games and the 6th Special Olympics Games.

Yuan Ying said that she actually had the idea of giving up.

But she was inspired by many disabled friends. They first inspired herself who had thought about giving up. In turn, she also hopes to inspire more people through her experience.

Although I sometimes have thoughts of shrinking back, I see that there are many outstanding disabled people in society, including blind and deaf people, and my teachers and friends have been encouraging and enlightening me. I slowly figured it out. Yes, they can do it, and I think I can do it too.

Many of the disabled people I have come into contact with have a particularly good mentality. They have no worries and have a high morale.

I have been learning from them.

I am deaf and mute, but I can do it well. Why can't I do it? I can do it well.
