Gorilla attacks a worker while trying to feed her in Madrid

A cleaning worker in a zoo in the Spanish capital, Madrid, was attacked violently by a gorilla, while she was trying to clean her cage and feed her, which led to her arms being smashed and her head injured.

The police opened an investigation into how the gorilla was able to reach the worker, even though she was in a spot equipped with protective measures, in addition to the fact that she had been born in the park and brought up in it and used to dealing with her workers.

Garden workers managed to remove the 29-year-old gorilla from the worker who is currently in hospital for treatment.

The gorilla was in a state of sudden frenzy, and subsequently attacked the 46-year-old worker.


Once the woman was rescued, the gorilla was given an anesthetic in an attempt to calm her.
