The Elysee Palace said on Saturday that it had "contacted the families of the victims" of the chopper attack in Paris on Friday in front of the former premises of

Charlie Hebdo

, to "express support and solidarity".

A man who presents himself as born in Pakistan and aged 18, according to the first elements of the investigation, attacked Friday around 11:45 to two people, a man and a woman, in front of the First Lines news agency .

"Obviously this is an act of Islamist terrorism," said Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin on France 2 on Friday. Seven people were in police custody on Saturday, including the alleged perpetrator.

On Friday, Prime Minister Jean Castex, who visited the scene with the Minister of the Interior, affirmed his "resolute desire, by all means, to fight terrorism".

Asked by AFP, the Elysee Palace had let it be known on Friday evening that President Emmanuel Macron would not speak on the subject.

This attack took place in the midst of the trial of the murderous attack which targeted the satirical weekly
