08.51 Less than 10% of humanity has antibodies to Covid-19
Studies that measure whether a community has developed antibodies against Covid-19 still show average percentages below 10%, so that most of humanity is still susceptible to the disease, an expert from the World Organization of Health (WHO).
The technical director of the organization for Covid-19, Maria Van Kerkhove, clarified that there are hundreds of these seroprevalence studies with very different results, so it is difficult to reach categorical conclusions, but in principle they show that more than 90% of subjects remain antibody free.
"Looking at them collectively, it seems that less than 10% of people show evidence of having been infected, so the majority of the world is still susceptible and all kinds of actions continue to be applied to prevent contagion," he said in a session of questions from Internet users on social networks, reports Efe.
08.15 The TSJM deliberates on restrictions to mobility so that it can be sanctioned
This Thursday or early on Friday the deliberations of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid (TSJM) will be known about the new restrictions on mobility in 37 health areas agreed by the Community of Madrid to face the second part of the pandemic so that they are effective and valid.
As sources from the TSJM have specified to Europa Press, two writings from the Lawyers' Office of the Community of Madrid yesterday entered the registry of the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the TSJM, which will be transferred to the Prosecutor's Office to rule on the ratification of the new order issued by the Ministry of Health.
The deliberation and ruling could be late on Thursday or early on Friday, according to the same sources.
The term established by law for resolution is three days from the date the writings have been entered.
Until the restrictions are endorsed by the TSJM, there will be random and selective informative controls to urge residents of areas with mobility limitations to comply with the new rules, but no sanctions will be issued.
08.06 Covid-19 Group Meeting between Government and Madrid
The Covid-19 Group, made up of the Vice President and spokesperson of the Community of Madrid, Ignacio Aguado, the Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz-Escudero, and the Ministers of Health and Territorial Policy and Public Function, Salvador Illa and Carolina Darias, respectively, holds this Thursday a meeting with health technicians from the region.
For its part, the Community of Madrid, which tomorrow Friday will increase the areas with mobility restrictions, requests the Government in this meeting urgent military logistical support for sanitary tasks, collaboration in the controls of National Police and Civil Guard personnel and the recruitment than 300 extra community doctors.
