The Guangxi Gaofeng Natural Spices Logistics Center carried out a surprise inspection to check whether there was an illegal sale of star anise spice that was suspected of illegally selling sulfur dioxide in the center. So far, 141 tons of star anise spice have been seized for inspection.

  "Guangxi Gaofeng Natural Spices Logistics Center" (named in the business license as "Guangxi Gaofeng Forest Farm Comprehensive Management Office) has more than 60 merchants and is the largest spice distribution center in Nanning.

  It is reported that in recent media reports, in the peak market, most businesses use sulfur to smoke star anise to reduce costs, while wholesalers also purchase sulfur star anise for profit and sell it to restaurants, canteens, etc., only 8 In the middle of the month, the average daily shipment of octagonal here can reach about 300 tons.

After inspection, the results of sulfur octagonal samples in this market showed that the residual sulfur dioxide reached 500mg/kg, which was 16 times more than the original octagonal national standard.

  In contrast, the Guangxi Market Supervision Bureau stated that star anise spice has many uses, such as raw materials for the production of industrial spices, or as raw materials for food processing.

The star anise spice sold by the merchants of the center as a forest product mainly comes from the relevant counties of Baise City in Guangxi District, Shangsi County in Fangchenggang, and Shanglin in Nanning City. Most of them are sold to northern my country.

  As of 15:00 on September 22, market supervision and law enforcement officers have inspected 13 business households in the "Guangxi Gaofeng Natural Spices Logistics Center", and a total of 18 batches of star anise samples have been sampled.

The inspection of other merchants in the logistics center is still in progress.
