Mahra began her journey in the field of arts since 2014, after she graduated from the Faculty of Arts, to participate for the second time in the festival with two paintings: the first is a paper plane, and the second is a flying brush. She explained, "I wanted the kite to present an idea that brings us back to childhood, and reminds us of how we used to make and fly these kites, and how one could imagine himself flying with them and moving from Dubai to anywhere in the world."
She added: "I drew the two works on the canvas that are fixed on the ground, which allows the audience to interact with them and take pictures, whether on the plane or even the brush with which they feel as if they are traveling on a rug and colors the places to which they fly."

The Emirati artist looks at the three-dimensional drawing presented in public places in a different way, as she carries within her a love for the arts that the audience interacts with, and is part of it, especially since every person who attends has a different point of view in his vision of work and how to interact with it, and it is possible to imagine Things did not occur to the artist when he presented the work. Regarding this type of art, Mahra pointed out that she works on different materials, as she likes not to confine herself to a specific field, and seeks to explore new materials on a permanent basis, and that three-dimensional drawing is one of the arts that she is working on developing herself in, and that the most beautiful This type of art bears the element of surprise, because it requires standing at a certain angle, to see the work properly, which may constitute a shock, as the recipient feels that the painting comes out from the ground.
Challenges
Mahra Al-Falahi added that "the Dubai Canvas Festival was usually organized in the winter season and in the beautiful open air, but she faced some challenges last year, including the rains that hindered work." She considered that the advantage in the current version is that the festival is held inside a shopping center, which leaves The field for the artist to work without obstacles and difficulties, as it allows the audience to see the works in a calm manner.
The main challenge faced by a skilled this year is the difference between the hours of day and night, and lighting, because its work inside the center all the time, and the lighting varied during the hours of the day, because the reflection of the sun varies from one hour to another, and is reflected in the nature of colors, while in the evening there is lighting Industrial that affects colors differently, indicating that it is an experience that adds to its experience in dealing with colors, while it was also an opportunity to see shades and tones in a better way.
She described the experience of "Dubai Canvas" as beautiful because it includes the participation of artists from abroad, even if they are less than in past years due to circumstances, but it is an opportunity for creative people to sit together with each other.
She saw that the festival is an opportunity for artists to get to know each other and exchange ideas, as the artist develops himself through such events, exchanging experiences at a very high level, confirming that she has benefited from the experience, especially with the presence of three painters presenting the three-dimensional drawing, along with two artists participating in the performance Technical, in addition to the orchestras that perform for the public.
