On August 14th, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission held a press conference on the start of schools in the fall of all levels and types of schools in Beijing in 2020. At the meeting, a reporter asked whether teachers and students of primary and secondary schools currently outside Beijing need to return to Beijing for home observation before school starts. In response, Wei Xubin, Director of the First Division of Elementary Education of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, said that teachers and students in low-risk areas should return to school with the health pass code "green code"; teachers and students in medium-risk areas must be concentrated or after 14 days of home medical observation. Health pass code "green code" and negative nucleic acid test within 7 days to return to school; teachers and students in high-risk areas will not return to school for the time being. Teachers and students who have recently returned from overseas will strictly implement the control measures for overseas returning to Beijing. After the centralized medical observation is lifted, they will return to school with a negative nucleic acid test certificate and a health pass code "green code" within 7 days.
