In the past two years, the staff of the Geological Survey Institute of Qinghai Province have used satellite systems to scan many salt lakes in Qinghai, including Chaka Salt Lake, Chaerhan Salt Lake, Dongtai Jinel Lake, and Hoh Xil Salt Lake. From an aerial perspective, the salt lake in summer is like a jasper lying on a plateau, and in winter it is frozen for thousands of miles.
