Bodyguard, manager of the star's private island in the Bahamas, stylist ... the employees of Johnny Depp defended the American actor at the trial on Tuesday against the British tabloid The Sun , who had presented him as a violent husband. Before the High Court in London, where the trial has been held for a week, his bodyguard Malcom Connolly, assured that he has never seen the 57-year-old actor be violent with his ex-wife, the actress American Amber Heard, 34 years old.

"No, I would not have tolerated that (...) even if he is my boss," explained the witness to the imposing stature. Asked about an incident in which Johnny Depp had a severed finger - by Amber Heard with a bottle of vodka according to the actor in Austalia in 2015 - the bodyguard explained that the various explanations which had then been raised - accident while cutting an onion, with an accordion door - were actually meant to "protect" Amber Heard.

Johnny Depp's violence denied

Testifying by videoconference from the Bahamas, Johnny Depp's private island manager, Tara Roberts, assured that she “never” saw him being violent with Amber Heard or with anyone or even aggressive. However, she claimed to have seen the aggressive young woman with Johnny Depp.

The 57-year-old Pirate of the Caribbean star sues the British newspaper and his publishing company NGN for accusing him in April 2018 of being an abusive husband, which he strongly denies. In his defense, the newspaper invokes 14 accusations of violence made by his ex-wife, which date back to the years 2013-2016. The couple, who met in 2011 on the set of Rhum Express , divorced after less than two years of a stormy marriage in early 2017.

“Years” of “physical and psychological” violence

The actress then spoke of "years" of "physical and psychological" violence, accusations strongly contested by Johnny Depp. Testifying by videoconference from Los Angeles, Samantha McMillen, stylist of the couple, also said she never saw any traces of injuries at Amber Heard.

Faced with a photo of the young woman with red marks on her face dating back to the end of May 2016, the stylist, who saw her on May 24, assured that the actress was not wearing makeup and had no marks. "I only noticed beautiful skin," she said.
