Actress Naya Rivera and son Josey - AdMedia / Starface

The search for Naya Rivera resumes this Monday at Lake Piru, where she disappeared in the middle of last week. The authorities revealed that they were going to try to find a trace of the actress in the chalets on the edge of the water, suggesting that they had little hope of finding her body in the lake, even if teams of divers continue to patrol.

The search was abandoned on Sunday night due to the darkness, but the Ventura County Sheriff's team has promised that they will work harder until Naya Rivera is found, according to USA Today.

Heather Morris, who played alongside Naya Rivera in Glee , had once talked about setting up a research team made up of the star's family members as well as volunteers. But she apparently changed her mind after discussing it with the sheriff. The latter assured him that everything was being done to find his friend.

I have spoken to Sheriff Eric Buschow and rest assured they are using every single one of their resources to locate our Naya. I have full confidence that they're doing everything they can, and probably more. We will hold off on the citizen search and rescue until we get the go

"Rest assured, they are using all their resources to find Naya. I have complete confidence that they are doing everything they can, and even more. We will wait until we have permission to use volunteers. It is so hot that citizen research could put some people in an even more dangerous situation for everyone involved, ”she tweeted.

The star's family, including mother Yolanda and brother Muchal, arrived, as well as ex-husband and father of Josey, four-year-old son Ryan Dorsey, seen in sheriff's boats in an attempt to to advance research.
