The Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued guidelines on the prevention of imported cold-chain food during the epidemic, and proposed that operators, operating units, industry authorities and government departments of imported cold-chain foods should strengthen the daily management of imported cold-chain foods, clarify their responsibilities, and carry out Prevention and control work.

The guidelines stated that the source control should be strengthened, and all imported refrigerated and frozen foods should be strictly inspected and quarantined; samples of the outer packaging and surface of the goods should be tested for new coronavirus nucleic acid, and samples of the goods should be collected based on different cargo characteristics for new coronavirus nucleic acid testing.

In the warehousing and transportation of goods, the relevant regulations on prevention and control should be strictly implemented, preventive disinfection should be carried out, and the detection of new coronavirus nucleic acids should be performed on samples of key parts.

The guidelines are clear, and it is necessary to strengthen the management and control of the market sales link so that all goods can be traced to the source. It is necessary to strengthen the daily prevention and control of employees, and establish health monitoring systems such as body temperature monitoring for employees.

According to the guidelines, the operation managers of all aspects of the food circulation should promptly start the emergency plan formulated by the unit (department) once they find a positive product of the new coronavirus nucleic acid test, report it in time, and take measures such as temporary storage of the relevant positive products.
