At present, the police have taken criminal mandatory measures against the suspect Chen.
At about 21:00 on July 7, the Songyu Police Station of the Xiamen Public Security Bureau received an alarm saying that a boy was beaten in a community in Haicang. After receiving the police, the Songyu Police Station was disposed of and was investigated for preliminary investigation. After investigation, at about 20 o'clock on July 7, the suspect Chen (male, 48 years old, living on the 17th floor of a community in Haicang District) was chased by several minors for splashing water and ringing the doorbell because of minor mischiefs. When chasing to the 15th floor by elevator, he met the victim Yan Moumou (male, 12 years old). Chen believed that Yan Mou was involved in the prank of water splashing and beat him in the elevator by slaps and pinches his neck. In the meantime, when Chen took Yan Moumou out of the elevator and turned it back, and wanted to be beaten again in the elevator, he was stopped by the neighbor who was taking the elevator.
On July 10, the Haicang Branch Bureau established the case as a criminal case according to law and took criminal coercive measures against the suspect Chen. Currently, the case is under further investigation.
