They responded to a spontaneous call on social networks. Twenty feminist activists gathered Tuesday near the Ministry of the Interior, chanting "Darmanin resignation" and "Darmanin rapist" during the handover between Christophe Castaner and Gérald Darmanin, Minister of Public Accounts in the previous government.

The new tenant at Place Beauvau was accused by two women in early 2018, one for rape, the other for abuse of weakness, accusations he refutes. If the investigation continues for the first, the prosecution has dismissed the second.

Going down the street with smoke bombs and signs "Darmanin inside, you torch yourself with our complaints", these activists were quickly stopped by the security forces who crisscrossed the neighborhood, also close to the Elysee Palace.

Posted a few meters from Place Beauvau, they sang "Darmanin rapist, police accomplice" or "A rapist inside, an accomplice to justice", in reference to the new Keeper of the Seals Eric Dupond-Moretti, to whom they reproach "a lack of interest and attacks" against the words of women victims of violence.
