Ministry of Commerce: From January to May, China's total service imports and exports decreased by 14.6% year-on-year

Among them, exports were 759.26 billion yuan, down 2.3%; imports were 1,109.34 billion yuan, down 21.5%.

　　Gao Feng introduced that the characteristics of my country's service trade in the first five months of this year mainly include the following:

　　First, the service trade deficit has been reduced significantly. From January to May, the decline in my country's service exports stabilized, and the decline in imports further increased. The decline in exports was less than 19.2 percentage points of imports, driving the service trade deficit to fall by 44.9% to 350.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 285.15 billion yuan.

　　Second, the proportion of knowledge-intensive service trade continued to increase. From January to May, the import and export of my country's knowledge-intensive services was 809.55 billion yuan, an increase of 8.7% year-on-year, accounting for 43.3% of the total value of imports and exports of services, an increase of 9.3 percentage points. Among them, the export of knowledge-intensive services was 431.33 billion yuan, an increase of 11.2%, accounting for 56.8% of the total service exports, an increase of 6.9 percentage points; the areas with faster export growth were intellectual property use fees, telecommunications computer and information services, and insurance services , An increase of 38.4%, 19.7%, and 15.6% respectively. The import of knowledge-intensive services was 378.22 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9%, accounting for 34.1% of the total imports of services, an increase of 8.8 percentage points; the areas with faster import growth were telecommunications computer and information services, and financial services, which increased by 34.4% and 15.9, respectively %.
