As he begins a tour of France for his new show, Smaïn grants his first interview to "20 Minutes" for our news podcast "Minute Papillon! "
The regular of the boards, humorist, actor, comedian talks about his origins there, an orphan born in Algeria, who kissed the boards at 22 years old to never leave them again. A “one man show” which could be called as much “Call me Smain”, as “DNA, Algerian by birth”. A spectacle that he wishes to be half serious, half joyful.
Running of the show in France
Epidemic, confinement, closure of growing sites, the launch of the show at the Café de la gare in Paris, July 1, has been postponed for 2021. Racism and social mix

Entrusted to two years to a modest Algerian-Moroccan couple in Paris, he says his luck to have experienced social mix. He claims that he did not suffer from racism in his personal life. And that if professional meetings wanted to confine him to a designated place, he escaped by playing in particular in "Le Schpountz" or "Les fourberies de Scapin".
On debates and demonstrations against racism in France, the artist says he can "understand that we can have rage, hate" after multiple police checks experienced daily by people from immigrant backgrounds. He refuses all physical and verbal violence in this debate.
