Protesters at Place de la Concorde, June 6, 2020 - SIPA

Like every weekend, here are three pieces of information guaranteed without Covid.

1 - Events prohibited in France

In Paris as in Rennes or Nice, demonstrations to "amplify the international movement of solidarity against the impunity of the police" were prohibited because of health conditions. This did not prevent a few hundred demonstrators from meeting on the Place de la Concorde.

Despite the ban on assembling, many demonstrators against #ViolencesPolicieres and #racisme found themselves on the Place de la #Concorde in #Paris. A major #police system has been put in place to block access to the #Embassy embassy. pic.twitter.com/6RaAwUua7Q

2 - Unconfigured snakes

Nature regained its rights during confinement, even the one that is a little scary. The SOS Serpents network in Nouvelle-Aquitaine saw the number of calls to report a snake exploding during confinement. We're telling you all about it here.

3 - The "George Floyd challenge"

American teens have decided to make themselves famous on Snapchat by creating the "George Floyd challenge". The goal is to take a picture of yourself "imitating" - with the smile - the position of policeman Derek Chauvin during the arrest of George Floyd, namely a knee on the neck of a person lying on the ground . This remarkably bad taste created a lively controversy in the United States.
