Practical driving license tests will be able to resume from June 8, reports BFMTV, after being suspended due to the health crisis linked to the coronavirus. However, in some departments, this date could be brought forward, according to representatives of the National Committee of Automobile Professionals (CNPA).

The rhythm will depend on the precise directives sent by each prefecture with the health protocol to be followed strictly to reorganize the examinations. In the English Channel, the prefecture has given details of the sanitary procedures to adopt, such as "disinfection and ventilation of the vehicle before each examination", "installation of a seat cover", "wearing a mask for all occupants of the vehicle ”and“ wearing protective visors ”, lists the media. Additional time will therefore be required between each license applicant to apply these measures.

Some candidates will have priority

The first to pass the practical driving test should be those who were unable to do so during confinement, according to the interior ministry. Between the passage of the permit (car, motorbike, truck) and the code, 330,000 candidates must still wait before finishing with these exams.

The candidates for the motorcycle and truck license exam have been able to try their luck since May 27. As for the theoretical examination of the Highway Code, the candidates were able to pass it two weeks earlier, as soon as the confinement ended.
