At 89 years old, after having patiently documented for over 60 years, on film, the beauty of the world and of the Orient in particular, the French photographer Roland Michaud died this week.

His name, like his work distinguished in 2015 by the Albert Kahn International Prize, are inseparable from those of his wife Sabrina, as they together formed an unshakable duo of great enthusiasts of images and the Orient. They were still called “Michaud”.
In search of light and wisdom, the Michauds have captured the nobility of Afghanistan, the colors of India or the mists of eternal China. In the age of Instagram and all digital, it is difficult to measure the impact of the Michaud images on the collective unconscious. Yet their legacy is immense: their work has inspired generations of photographers and travelers to ...

The Michauds were a mythical couple, also a bit magical, so much so that everyone who met them said they were lucky.
We had this chance in 2017 and propose to pay tribute to Roland by making you listen again to his humble and wise word on life, travel and photography.
