The circulation of the coronavirus remains active in New Aquitaine with 29 new confirmed cases listed by Public Health France on Tuesday, which brings the total to 4,582 since the beginning of the epidemic (these figures do not include all the people not tested Covid-19 identified by city medicine).
Some 716 people are currently hospitalized (- 5 compared to the previous day) including 126 people in intensive care or intensive care (- 2 compared to the previous day). We deplore an additional death in hospital compared to Monday (302 in total). Since the start of the epidemic, 1,315 people have been discharged from the hospital cured (+13 compared to the previous day).
Automatic screening continues in Ehpad
Tuesday, 167 Ehpad were concerned by a situation of Covid-19 confirmed or suspicious among residents or staff, or 18.6% of establishments in our region. Among these possible or confirmed cases, 109 died in nursing homes (+ 4 compared to the previous day) and 69 died in hospital.
