The yellow-throated marten mainly inhabits the forest area and is a typical carnivorous beast. Because of its fierce temperament when preying on prey, netizens are hailed as one of the most terrifying "moe" killers in the animal world. From the appearance, the ear of yellow-throated mink is short and round, soft and slender, like a fox, and has obvious yellow-orange throat spots on the front chest.
The staff of Fugong Management and Conservation Branch of Gaoligongshan National Nature Reserve introduced that the shooting site of the yellow-throated marten was located in the protected area of about 3,000 meters above sea level in Jiakedi Township, Fugong County. Although the yellow-throated mink in the photo has short limbs, it has a strong physique and agile posture.

The staff member said that as a secondary consumer in the food chain, the yellow-throated mink regulates the population of rodents in forest ecosystems. In addition, yellow-throated marten is extremely sensitive to habitat disturbance and habitat fragmentation, and is regarded as an indicator species of forest ecosystem health. It is reported that this monitoring also captured a variety of national-level protected wild animals such as bear monkeys, red deer, Chinese hyenas, red pandas, white pheasants, red-bellied pheasants, blood pheasants, owls, as well as wild boars, leopard cats, yellow ferrets, and long kisses.
