Temporary accommodation will be at APA Hotel Saitama Shintoshin Eki Kita in Omiya Ward, Saitama City.
According to Saitama Prefecture, 127 people who were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture could not be admitted to a medical institution and were waiting at home as of the night of October 10th. .
On the other hand, out of the 150 general beds in the prefecture that the prefecture had reserved mainly for mildly ill patients, only 50 beds have been accepted so far.
In response to this, the province has rented a hotel with over 220 rooms for mildly ill and asymptomatic people, and will begin transport on the 13th.
In particular, priority is given to those who are waiting for an examination to be discharged after recovery from their illness and those who live with elderly people who are more likely to be severely ill.
The prefectural health department said, “We have secured a hotel because more people are waiting for hospitalization. We will continue to work to secure the number of beds.”
