Three male doctors at Gifu University Hospital and other hospitals were found to be infected with the new coronavirus, and the hospital proceeded with examinations of patients who came in contact and decided to suspend all outpatient departments.

The infection was confirmed by working with two male doctors in their thirties in the psychiatry at Gifu University Hospital in Gifu City until last month, and currently working at Nozomi no Oka Hospital in Minokamo City. There are three male doctors in their twenties.

Two out of three have no symptoms and one is mild. According to the university, the three had visited the nightclub "Sharm" in Gifu City last month.

Later, when the employee of the nightclub was notified of the infection, the doctor told the university that he had been tested for three days, and that the infection was confirmed for four days.

There will be five close contacts, including two colleagues, one doctor, and one patient.

In addition, to prevent the spread of infection, all outpatient departments will be suspended until this month.

Kazuhiro Yoshida, director of Gifu University Hospital, apologized, "I am sorry that the infection was confirmed at a university hospital that supports community medicine and I am sorry. I will wait for the doctor to recover and hear about the situation and give guidance."
