On the afternoon of April 3, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, Maputo Central Hospital, Mozambique, conducted international remote training on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic.

It is understood that Mozambique's Maputo Central Hospital is the largest medical institution in Mozambique with the best equipment configuration and the highest level of medical technology. It is the designated hospital for the treatment of patients with severe coronary pneumonia in the country. The director of the hospital introduced that there are currently 10 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Mozambique. Measures have been taken to strengthen the protection of medical staff, reduce the number of outpatients, and reduce non-emergency surgery.

At the training meeting, experts from the West China Hospital of Sichuan University conducted special trainings on the management of new coronary pneumonia epidemic prevention and treatment medical management organizations, medical staff and patient management of new coronavirus infections, and diagnosis and treatment of new coronavirus pneumonia. The two sides conducted detailed exchanges and discussions on issues such as the safety of anesthesiologists during the coronavirus epidemic, the biological safety of the operating room, the flowchart of the quarantine area, and the personal protective equipment of medical staff in the ICU.
