A date will haunt this Government: January 30. That day the WHO had issued its international emergency alert for the coronavirus. According to the General Law of Public Health, article 14, the "management of alerts that come from the EU or the WHO" is the direct and automatic responsibility of the ministry. As of that day Salvador Illa stopped being able to excuse himself in the responsibility of the autonomies, since the public health surveillance function was already all his. But when on February 3 and 11 the WHO urged the purchase of equipment to deal with a possible massive contagion, the Government did nothing. And when two days later the EU appealed to control the risk of shortages, Illa replied: "We have enough . " In between, Sánchez authorized the 8-M protests, at the head of which were several ministers, the positive of which we learned days later. When the pandemic became violently visible, Illa launched into buying in the Chinese market: she had not done so before. The first rapid diagnostic tests you purchased were unsuccessful: they were not even 30% reliable. Despite having to return or replace those 640,000 pirated tests, the Government has re-contracted with the Chinese company that scammed it: Bioeasy Biotechnology. Today, Spain is the country with the highest number of health infections in the world -more than 13,000-, suffers from shortages and exhibits the worst case fatality rate in proportion to its population. Yesterday, 950 dead in one day.

An editorial does not relate facts but it is pronounced on them. But this time we have not believed it necessary to express an opinion because the facts, by themselves, accuse this Government.
