The couple went on a tour of Egypt last month from 21 to 28 on a tour that included a cruise on the Nile.

After returning to Japan, her husband had a fever of 37 degrees for 8 minutes on the 1st of this month, and on 7th, she visited a medical institution in the prefecture, was diagnosed with pneumonia, and was prescribed antibiotics and herbal medicine.

Since the symptoms continued after that, on 9th, after contacting the Returnees and Contact Center, they were transported by emergency to another medical institution and collected samples, which revealed that the virus had been transmitted.

On a tour of Egypt where the couple participated, it was revealed that seven people, including a guide from Japan, spent together, and that a woman in her 60s in Kochi prefecture was infected with the virus.

The number of infected people in Chiba prefecture is now 25.
