Requests to prevent self-restraint from viewing cherry blossoms at banquets at national parks

To prevent further spread of the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has requested that self-restrained banquets be held at national parks nationwide.

There are 17 national parks managed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism throughout Japan. The cherry blossom season is full of people.

However, since it is necessary to prevent further spread of the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism requested that all state-owned parks refrain from eating and drinking banquets. By the end of September, the establishment of a stand and the sale of liquor had been postponed, and by the 9th, a notice was issued to regional maintenance bureaus nationwide.

On the other hand, if the park will continue to be open for business, we will ask users to wear masks if they enjoy cherry blossom viewing while strolling, calling for prevention of the spread of infection.
