On March 3, Kad Merad is back on stage with Amis , a play he has staged and in which he plays the main role. But the rehearsals did not prevent the French actor from multiplying the representations. Sunday, he will play for the fifth time at Clermont-Ferrand Kad on stage , a somewhat special musical show: Kad Merad takes up in this unclassifiable show of tubes, from Frank Sinatra to Trust via Johnny.
"I love Johnny", confides the artist at the Ayrs at the microphone of Europe 1. "I sang a duet with him, it's crazy", remembers Kad Merad, who speaks of one of the "most beautiful memories of [s] a lifetime ". "I sang Ma Gueule in duet with him for his birthday on television. It's extraordinary," says Kad Merad with emotion.

"A show that evolves all the time"
"I do not imitate, I sing with my guts", half jokes the interpreter of the Black Baron. "It's a real show with a real group, stories about music, anecdotes about the profession, but also jokes," explains Kad Merad, adding that it is not a stand-up. The show was co-written with Mohamed Hamidi, who lent his pen to comedian Jamel and who works for the Marrakech du rire.
"I have things to tell"
"The show evolves all the time, it's adapted to the hall, to the audience. I don't write everything, there is a part of improvisations, there are a lot of digressions. I don't want to be frozen in sketches, but I have things to tell, "said the 55-year-old actor. "At my age, I have things to say, I can allow myself to tell things. And it's funny, so that people laugh. There is also good music", continues the actor of Bienvenue among the Ch'tis .
"There is also a surprise, with one of the characters of Kad and O who comes to play the guitar", reveals the humorist, without saying more. He is also behind the drums, an instrument he has always played. "This is the fifth concert, and I think people are happy because there is a very good atmosphere," said the actor, enthusiastic.
Many projects to come
Kad Merad has a busy schedule since he plays in a new series for TF1, Your Honor , adaptation of an Israeli series, which stages an examining magistrate and his son, on screen on April 6. He also revealed that he was negotiating to play the father of Marcel Pagnol in Le temps des secrets , third part of the trilogy of the adaptation of the novels of Marcel Pagnol by Christophe Barratier.
