After eight Parisian editions, Séries Mania settled down in 2018 in Lille in Hauts-de-France. With more than 80 series from around the world on the big screen, almost as many guests, a dozen dedicated places, a festival village, more than 2,700 professionals at the forum in 2019 against 2,000 in 2018, and some 72,300 in theaters in 2019 against 55,000 in 2018, the second edition of Séries Mania in 2019 confirms the success of its establishment in the Lille metropolis. “We are waiting for Séries Mania a bit like the episodes of a new series that we are following. World premiere of Westworld season 3

A British series, The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton and Claire McCarthy with Eva Green, Eve Hewson, Marton Csokas, will open the festival. Ten series will compete in international competition, six in French competition and 10 in short formats

The series trends identified by the Séries Mania programming team are a return to real, historical and contemporary facts, but also the evocation of the Nazi period and political violence.

The sofas of the famous Friends series will be scattered throughout the city of Lille, while the famous coffee of Monica, Phoebe, Rachel, Chandler, Ross, and Joey, the Central Perk will be reconstituted at Euralille.
