The Mexican supermodel Anna Gabriela Molina wants to challenge the traditional notions of body attractiveness by winning the Beauty Pageants contest in her hometown of Veracruz.

Molina, a 24-year-old graduate of psychology, said last week that accepting her condition was difficult, but she wanted to set an example for others with disabilities.

"I succeeded in overcoming everything I encountered in my entire life."

She explained that her birth without arms did not prevent her from eating, using a mobile phone, or writing with her feet.

And I will face the same tests as everyone else, and I will pass them, I feel like everyone else is normal, because I lived my life this way. So for me, my disability is not a restriction, but rather the opposite. ”

In March, Molina will participate in the beauty pageant in Veracruz, which overlooks the Gulf of Mexico, with a population of more than 8 million. If she wins, she will qualify for the Miss Mexico contest in June.

Molina gives motivational lectures and sometimes works as a model.
