The world continues to be in a fever. And now, UN Secretary General Antoniu Guterres announces the approach of the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse,” threatening humanity. The first and main of them is geopolitical tension, the politician formulated diplomatically. In fact, we are talking about a premonition of a great war, almost the third world war, designed to resolve the accumulated contradictions. Russia is traditionally among those who are trying to prevent the apocalyptic scenario. Our 27 million dead in the last world carnage do not give us the right to stay away.

In Russia, the president himself is at the forefront of this topic. His emotional promise to "shut up a rotten mouth" to those who "is trying to rewrite history, misrepresent it and belittle the role of our fathers and grandfathers, our heroes, who perished, protecting their homeland and almost the whole world from the brown plague," for some will have consequences. It is felt that Putin himself was hurt by the Sabbat of counterfeiters. It is understandable - his parents were participants in one of the most terrible dramas of the Second World War. The blockade of Leningrad, Nevsky Piglet ... This is not forgotten. The truth about this will now be issued in the form of a public archive. It is high time.

For all the sanctity of the topic, it has to be defended by political methods. From this point of view, Putin’s participation in the forum for the memory of the victims of the Holocaust, which takes place in Jerusalem on January 22-23, is worth a lot. The 75th anniversary of the liberation by the Red Army of the Auschwitz concentration camp (Auschwitz), marked there, makes it possible to once again recall who the world owes salvation from Nazism. As well as the fact that about 600 thousand Soviet soldiers gave their lives for the liberation of Poland alone. And some began to forget.

And Netanyahu here is a completely natural and very strong ally. The genocide of the Jews, organized by the Nazis in Eastern Europe, will never be forgotten in Israel.

Putin’s current visit to Jerusalem is essentially a response to Netanyahu’s arrival in Moscow on May 9, 2018. Recall how the two leaders walked together with portraits of loved ones in the ranks of the Immortal Regiment. This popular action united Russian society like nothing else. The memory of the war is the most powerful bond of Russian modernity. Not using this to consolidate people would be shortsighted. Apparently, this is why the upcoming 75th anniversary of the Victory is planned to be celebrated on a grand scale, inviting the leaders of countries participating in the anti-Hitler coalition to Moscow. Putin spoke of the need to resist attempts to distort the history of the war in his recent message.

The implementation of this task requires the efforts of not only the executive branch. The State Duma should legally ensure responsibility for any attempt to rewrite history. Something in this direction has already been done, but more needs to be done. There seems to be an understanding of this in parliament. In any case, on the opening day of the spring session of the State Duma, the protection of history from falsification was declared by the speaker Vyacheslav Volodin a priority in the work in the international arena.

This, apparently, should be about the responsibility of foreign citizens and structures. Which one is the second question. At the very least, ill-wishers of Russia should be denied entry to our country.

Better yet, choose offensive tactics. Parliament has every opportunity for this. The following committees can act in unison with the common line: on international affairs, on education and science, on culture and on CIS affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots. Particularly wide opportunities open up for our delegations to PACE, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, and other inter-parliamentary structures. Not for nothing that Russia, having put a lot of effort, triumphantly returned to PACE. Now there is an opportunity to beat politicians hostile to us in their territory.

And there are many. While the most frantic look Poles. In connection with the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, their behavior just rolls over. The tone was set by Foreign Minister Mateusz Moravecki, who published an article in the American publication Politico claiming that the Red Army, in principle, did not liberate Warsaw and intentionally did not rush to release Auschwitz. After that, the Polish State Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau even refused to accept the temporary exhibition of the Russian Victory Museum. In response, Volodin advised Polish politicians not to tarnish the memory of the dead soldiers. Previously, Putin spoke of Warsaw's involvement in the outbreak of World War II.

Alas, Poland is just the tip of a sword once again directed against Russia. It seems that a considerable part of European politicians is not averse to using pseudo-historical weapons against us. That is how one should take the resolution of the European Parliament, which actually puts Hitlerite Germany and the Soviet Union on the same level, arguing that the USSR is responsible for starting the Second World War. “This, of course, is complete nonsense,” Putin reacted at the time. Now it is time to respond to the State Duma. The laws. Moreover, according to the amendments introduced by the president, the parliament should play an increasingly significant role in the Russian system of government.

The question is far from idle. Recall that the largest geopolitical catastrophe of the twentieth century happened after a massive historical “artillery preparation” in the press. Exposing the real and imaginary "crimes" in various publications gradually inspired the Soviet society a complex of guilt, and it was no longer able to resist the actions of the liquidators in the party elite. No matter how we step on the same rake now. I hope that the State Duma will be able to preventively stop any attempts to dismantle the people's memory.
