His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, issued several decisions regarding the governance of sports clubs in the Emirate of Dubai, with a view to subjecting them to the foundations, rules and principles of governance, to keep pace with the best global practices applied in this regard, and create a sound environment for the work of clubs Sports, stability and balance, in line with global regulations and the requirements of local, regional and international sports organizations and federations, and clearly and coordinated and specific work organization for sports club departments, in the regulations and rules relating to the functioning of sports club departments.

Governance is a system for directing, controlling and controlling the activities of clubs, based on the decision-making process and the distribution of powers and responsibilities among the main parties in the clubs.

Governance aims to set rules and standards for sports clubs departments, in addition to applying best practices of governance for sports clubs, also aims to establish procedures to address financial default, legalize random exchange in clubs, and ensure the continuity and growth of clubs, and achieve the goals for which they were established, and governance aims to Putting financial supervision on clubs in terms of debt accumulations, clarity and transparency regarding all financial dealings of clubs, whether through contracts, debts or otherwise regarding financial matters.

The Dubai Sports Council has consistently applied the 'governance' system in sports clubs, and a set of laws, regulations and decisions have been developed that aim to achieve quality and performance excellence.

Thus, the sports clubs transform their administrative and financial organization into something similar to the huge commercial companies to ensure the quality of their business.

Governance plays a role in raising the level of boards of directors in sports clubs, as well as governance contributes to strengthening internal control, monitoring the implementation of strategies, and defining the roles and powers of the board of directors, the CEO and the financial manager to ensure that interests and powers do not conflict, and governance helps to raise the level of investments, so we confirm that Governance is very important for sports clubs.
