A very touched Emelie Garbers received the award for the best female actress of the year. She thanked her husband for taking care of their children as she worked and made a special thank you to her mother.

"It is you and all single mothers in the world who are struggling like animals and trying to get their children to live their dreams ... You believed in me," she said as she received the statue.

Builds on poetry bag by Harry Martinson

Harry Martinson's poem poem Aniara from 1956 has previously become a theater, opera, ballet and comic book, but this is the first time it will be a movie. It takes place on a spacecraft that lost its course somewhere in space and deals with both death anxiety and climate anxiety.

- I think the competition time is over because we have to shrink as humans to survive as a species. It can't be about being the best and having the most, said Pella Kågerman when she and Hugo Lilja received the gold bag for best direction.

Directed to know cultural writers

Another actress who was praised for her efforts in Aniara is Bianca Cruzeiro who plays Isagel. She combed the bag home in the best female supporting category.

- I'm so proud to be a part of Aniara. What a fucking movie we've done !, she said when she received the award.

She also spoke about the courage of the directors and directed a booth to "some cultural writers" who claimed that this year's nominations lack courage and talked about the courage in making a film of a poem from the 1950s.

Andreas Wicklund, Per Jonsson and Arild Andersson took home the award for best visual effects for their work with Aniara.
