Lasse Åberg educated at Konstfack during the 1960s, but has always been involved in various kinds of entertainment besides the art.

He is known from the art world, film and television, and to the parade roles include Trazan in the TV series Trazan & Banarne and the iconic role of Stig-Helmer Olsson in the social travel films, films that he has also directed.

- The prize goes to a wise and clear-sighted artist. An iconic alter ego that has become part of the Swedish people's soul, said the film institute's CEO Anna Serner, among other things, when she presented the award winner.

Lasse Åberg began his talk by telling me about a conversation he had with his brother when it was clear that he would be rewarded with a baggage:

- Yesterday my brother called me and then I told him I would get a gold beetle. Then he said "what's the matter?" I explained that it is a beetle, 25, 30 cm long, of sheet metal.

The honorary badge has been awarded since 2001 and is an award awarded for long and faithful service.
