Jamaican Tony An Singh, crowned Miss World 2019, said yesterday that she wants to use the title to work for "sustainable change" for women and children.
In response to a question about the value of beauty contests in today's world and the pursuit of equality and respect for women, Singh, 23, who graduated from the University of Florida, said that for her beauty was the least important element in her achievement.
"I want to make a sustainable change," she told reporters, who was overwhelmed with happiness after winning the title in London, and received congratulations from her parents.
