Niigata December 11th 15:59 to Yukacho, Tokamachi City

Yuzawa-machi, who is seeking corrections, over the border between Yuzawa-machi and Tokamachi-city in Niigata Prefecture, has decided to bring a trial against Tokamachi-city.

The border between Yuzawa Town and Tokamachi City has been discussed with both parties intermittently, but about 5 km between Takatsukurayama and Takaishiyama located in the northern part of Yuzawa Town has yet to be confirmed.

In addition, about the existing boundary line of about 1.5 km north of Takatsukurayama, Yuzawa Town originally claims it is further west.

Under these circumstances, Yuzawa-machi asked the prefecture for mediation, but the prefecture informed us that in July it was not likely to mediate because it was highly probable that it would not be agreed.

In response to this, Yuzawa Town proposed a bill to the town council to establish a trial requesting correction of the existing boundary line as well as the undecided boundary line, and passed unanimously on the 10th.

Yuzawa-machi says "I want to be able to file a complaint as soon as possible in consultation with a lawyer."

On the other hand, Tokamachi City says, “I want to insist on what I should insist upon seeing the appeal of Yuzawa Town”.

According to the prefecture, it is the first trial in Niigata Prefecture over the boundaries of local governments.

Nationally, in September, in a trial disputed by Ota Ward and Koto Ward over the attribution of the landfill in Tokyo Bay, a decision was made with Koto Ward as approximately 80% and Ota Ward as approximately 20%. doing.
