The Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, inaugurated the fortieth Gulf summit, held in Riyadh, on Tuesday.
King Salman said that the Gulf Cooperation Council managed to overcome the crises that have passed through the region, calling on the Gulf states to "unite in the face of Iran's aggression."
The Saudi king also urged the international community to work towards ensuring energy supplies and sea lanes.
