Egyptian media journalist Sherif Madkour revealed that he had a virus in the blood during his treatment stages of colon cancer, through a live broadcast on his account on the social networking site «Facebook».

Madkour, 46, said in the live broadcast that during the past month, he had a high temperature due to the lack of immunity from the intensive chemotherapy he was undergoing. He added: "I went to the hospital for treatment, and blood bags were transferred so that my body strengthens and resists to eliminate this virus." He explained that this immune disease has nothing to do with his cancer, but he is "negligent" from him as he described, because he did not care about the doctors ’instructions to warn against the transmission of the infection.

And last April, Madkour published, through his account on Facebook, a personal photo and under it the phrase "I am a cancer fighter" in English, the impact of a tumor on the colon, and this sparked a wave of support from his fans and colleagues in the Egyptian and Arab media, and continued during the past eight months In publishing videos of his health conditions, as well as talking about the support and prevention that should be provided to the cancer patient.
At the end of his last recording, Madkour advised cancer patients to take precautions and safety in dealing with others, given the weak immunity of the cancer patient in general, and to avoid contact and peace to others to avoid infection. And he said, “I am salvation. I decided not to give peace to others again, and I will wear a muzzle on my nose.”

Followers of the famous media, as well as a group of Egyptian and Arab artists interacted in providing support and wishes for a speedy recovery and continuing to resist the malignant disease.
