A 40-year-old male doctor at a prefectural hospital in Haebaru-cho, Okinawa Prefecture was found to have been sent a document as if he had been given medical drugs to a patient without the necessary license.

The documents were sent to a 40-year-old male doctor at the Nanbuhara Medical Center / Children's Medical Center in Haebaru-cho.

According to what the hospital revealed at a press conference, the male doctor combined with the medical narcotic "fentanyl" used as an analgesic for one month until November last year, even though he was not licensed to handle medical narcotics. The drug was sent on the 6th of this month on suspicion of violating the Drug and Psychotropic Drug Control Law. There are no reports of health hazards associated with the administration of this medical narcotic.

When using medical drugs, a licensed doctor must log into the hospital's electronic system and prepare documents for removal from the dedicated vault. This means that the document was created using the doctor's ID and password.
