Nakamura-san is scheduled to leave Haneda Airport with his bereaved family and return to Fukuoka with his family on the 9th, when Satoshi Nakamura, a doctor who has been involved in humanitarian assistance and reconstruction for many years in Afghanistan, was shot dead.

On July 4th in Jalalabad, Nangarhar Province, eastern Afghanistan, a local doctor of Fukuoka City NGO Peshawarkai, Mr. Satoshi Nakamura (73) was shot and died while moving by car.

Mr. Nakamura arrived at Narita Airport on the evening of the 8th with his wife Naoko and his eldest daughter Akiko who entered the capital Kabul after the incident.

At the airport, bereaved family members and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gathered in front of the elders, and after holding the flowers, they gave up their silence and saved Mr. Nakamura who worked hard for the local people.

According to the Peshawar Association, Mr. Nakamura will be transferred to Haneda Airport on the 8th and will leave for Fukuoka with his bereaved family on the 9th.

Expected to arrive at Fukuoka Airport after 10am, and in the afternoon of 11th, there will be a farewell ceremony in the central district of Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.
