On the concept and mechanisms of empowerment and the role of governments and societies in turning it into a reality embodied on the ground, Her Highness said: “The largest share of the project of empowering women economically and socially rests with governments, institutions and societies. The challenges of this project do not lie in the capabilities of women who have proven themselves in learning, excellence and leadership. Her Highness continued, “Therefore, we consider that empowering women starts from qualifying the policies of institutions, laws of governments and the culture of societies, in addition to supporting development projects in low-income countries, so that their economy is able to absorb more energies and enrich them with the talents necessary for their growth and prosperity.”

Her Highness asked: How can we talk about the necessity of efforts to involve women in an economy that is unable to provide jobs for the local workforce?
